User Agreement

The user group assumes all responsibility for any goods, materials, and equipment it places in, around or at Richardson Hall and Swift Ponds

Colorado Youth Outdoors Staff will inspect for damages after each event has concluded. Damage to the facility shall be paid for in full by the person or group signing this Agreement. User is responsible for damages to habitat, flora and fauna, facility, floors, ceiling, walls, fixtures, and equipment.

It is the responsibility of the user group to submit all rental equipment and facility set-up requests at least two weeks prior to the event.

Swift Ponds and Richardson Hall are private education facilities and events permitted are not to be open to the public. Events at Richardson Hall are by invitation only or structured programs. Local law enforcement has permission enter Swift Ponds at any time – including, but not limited to, the Larimer County Sheriff Department, Timnath Police, Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Colorado State Patrol.

Colorado Youth Outdoors does not provide a food and beverage service. Open burners other than sterno style cans for warming are not permitted inside Richardson Hall.

With exception of special events, alcoholic beverages are not permitted. No alcoholic beverages may be consumed prior to any shooting event.

It is the responsibility of the user group to maintain an orderly event and provide security commensurate with the nature and size of the event. Colorado Youth Outdoors reserves the right to specify security measures to be taken at any event at Swift Ponds. A designated user group representative is required to be onsite at all times and the main gate is to be kept closed as much as possible.

User group agrees to abide by the following regulations. • Discharge of firearms are not permitted, unless agreed upon and included in the User Request and only during authorized times. • Shooting Sports, including Archery and/or Trap, are only permitted with prior, explicit permissions • Campfires are only permitted when there is no local ban on fire and only in designated areas • No use of alcohol or controlled substances (unless deemed a special event) • No hunting without prior, explicit permissions • Swift Ponds only allows for campers, RVs, or “5th wheel” trailers on roadways, and in designated areas, with prior, explicit permission. • Any ATV, UTV, motorcycle or similar motorized vehicles may only be operated on designated roadways. • No commercial or sales usage is permitted • No swimming or boating without prior, explicit permissions and a certified lifeguard must be on duty during the duration of said event • All fishing is catch and release and only artificial bait is permitted • Vehicle parking is limited to the clearly defined area directly west of the Erion Pavilion. Under no circumstances are vehicles permitted to park on pond banks. Road access is limited to the defined “off limit” areas with the map (upon request). • User group is responsible for all trash clean up related to their event. The onsite dumpster’s lid will be able to fully close and additional trash will be packed out. If the dumpster is full upon arrival, trash related to your event must be packed out. All small trash cans must be emptied upon conclusion of the event. Trash found outside of dumpster post event will be removed at the expense of the user group at a rate of $20 per hour. • Any violation of regulations shall forfeit any future usage of the facility

User group shall not transfer or assign this agreement or the privileges created within. Any such assignment shall void this agreement.

This agreement contains the whole agreement of Colorado Youth Outdoors and you. None of the terms or conditions of this agreement shall be modified, waived or abandoned, except in written agreement signed by both parties.

User group agrees that vehicle parking is limited to the clearly defined area directly west of the Erion Pavilion. When needed, vehicles are permitted to park just off to the side of the road. Under no circumstances are vehicles permitted to park on pond banks. Road access is limited to the defined “off limit” areas with the map (upon request). Richardson Hall Parking is located directly south of the building.

Colorado Youth Outdoors will receive a certificate of liability insurance listing the date(s) and activities no later than 2 weeks prior to the event. The certificate will name Colorado Youth Outdoors Charitable Trust as the additional insured and provide a $2 million aggregate and $1 million per incident level of liability, and may be mailed directly to CYO at 4927 E CR 36 Fort Collins, CO 80528 or emailed to cstrouse@coloradoyo.org

Colorado Youth Outdoors will receive a signed waiver for each person participating in any of CYO’s activities. The waivers will be sent to the email provided in this user agreement to be completed by each participant prior to your event date. Please bring the signed waivers to your event and return them to your event supervisor.
