Adventure Series

Your experience with Colorado Youth Outdoors does not have to end! 

For those who have completed Level 1, a series of traditional outdoor activities are available for you and your parent or student to continue building your relationship. From big game hunting to ice fishing, each activity is designed to provide you with an introduction to something you can share with your whole family.  There is a cost associated with each activity but you are not required to sign-up for each one.  Please read through the description of each one to find what interests you.  Any questions can be sent to Brad at CYO: bwright@coloradoyo.org.

 

 

Big Game Hunting – March 1st, 2012; 6pm at Monroe Elementary School Loveland

CYO has several big game hunting opportunities available for CYO youth and their parents for those new to big game hunting. Hunt with Comanche Wilderness Outfitters near Byers, Colorado on private land or CYO volunteers north of Fort Collins. These hunts are guided. All tags must be applied for; lodging and equipment costs are the responsibility of those hunting.

Waterfowl Hunting– Fall/ Winter 2012/2013

This is an introduction to waterfowl hunting program at Swift Ponds with Jim Moser.  A small game license with the federal and state waterfowl stamps are required to hunt. A license check from the Colorado Division of Wildlife is scheduled as well. You must provide your own steel shot ammunition as well.
